‘Here It Comes Again’

March 12, 2020

Time marches onward not necessarily forever it seems as the coronavirus is rapidly creating a nasty whirlwind across the globe, and forcing a dent in the historic spacetime reality of modern life. The COVID-19 is shifting the outlook from a lot of shit, and doing it quickly.

Legally in Italy, where 1,000 people have died with the whole country now in shut-down due to COVID-19, if a person develops coronavirus symptoms and does not put themselves under self-isolation could be charged with like, attempted murder, and possibly face six months to three years in jail.
And if you ‘carelessly‘ infect an old person, or really anybody, you could be charged with ‘intentional murder‘ — the Italians are really getting serious.
Denmark, too. They will close all schools, universities and day care facilities for a couple of weeks in a partial shut-down to ease the tide of the virus — 514 people diagnosed with the deadly bug, the ‘“most dramatic increase seen in Europe.”

Across the pond, we have a government that’s fucked-up in handling a fucked-up situation. Supposedly, we’re about a week or 10 days behind Italy. Our biggest obstacle in this surreal, apparently-losing campaign to contain the virus is the T-Rump — via the Guardian this afternoon:

The White House says Donald Trump has no plans to be tested for coronavirus or go into self-quarantine after attending events last weekend with a senior Brazilian official who tested positive for the illness, the AP writes.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s communications director tested positive just days after traveling with Bolsonaro to a meeting with Trump and senior aides in Florida.

Due to DOJ rules, the T-Rump can’t be charged with ‘intentional murder’ as it’s falling on my head like a memory:

Lyrics:

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Walk with me
Like lovers do
Talk to me
Like lovers do

Here comes the rain again
Raining in my head like a tragedy
Tearing me apart like a new emotion
Oooooh
I want to breathe in the open wind
I want to kiss like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

So baby talk to me
Like lovers do

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
(Here it comes again, here it comes again)
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

And I sometimes/usually pair that with this:

Lyrics:

Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah
Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah

Pressure, pushing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man ask for
Under pressure, that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets

Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah
Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah

That’s o-kay
It’s the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming: `Let me out’
Pray tomorrow takes me higher
Pressure on people, people on streets

Doh doh doh bah bah bah bah

O-kay Chipping around, kick my brains around the floor
These are the days it never rains but it pours

People on streets, people on streets
It’s the terror of knowing
What this world is about,
Watching some good friends
Screaming: `Let me out’
Pray tomorrow takes me higher

Pressure on people, people on streets
Turned away from it all, like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don’t work
Keep coming up with love
But it’s so slashed and torn
Why why why?
Love love love love

Insanity laughs, under pressure we’re cracking
Can’t we give ourselves one more chance
Why can’t we give love one more chance
Why can’t we give love, give love, give love, give love, give love

Cause love’s such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care
For the people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves

This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
Under pressure
Under pressure
Pressure

And Queen does a incredible job, too — the graphics are really, really spot-on, a music-video created nearly 40-years ago for the nowadays:

Irritatingly dangerous as the coronavirus be, it’s overwhelming the reports of an ancient pestilence-bomb — via Nature yesterday:

While all eyes are on the coronavirus outbreak, an under-reported emergency is threatening food, health and jobs on three continents.
For the past several months, swarms of the desert locust Schistocerca gregaria — some swarms the size of cities — have devoured crops in East Africa, the Middle East and south Asia.
Some 20 million people are facing a food crisis.
Governments have been left under-prepared for the scale of these attacks, and the Rome-based United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has appealed for US$138 million in urgent funding — some of which is needed to lease aircraft that can drop chemicals to curb the spread.

A primordial chant of ‘here it comes again’…
