Factitious Boner

November 3, 2010

Did we neglect to mention John Boehner is an “asshat”?

In a trainwreck of an election yesterday, it was fairly-well demonstrated there’s a shitload of asshats in the US.
And this a snapshot of why we’re in the toilet.
Chris Matthews to Michelle Bachmann:

“Congresswoman Bachmann — are you hypnotized tonight? Has someone hypnotized you? Because no matter what I ask you, you give the same answer. Are you hypnotized, has someone put you under a trance tonight?”
Bachmann replied: “I think the American people are the ones that finally are speaking tonight. We’re coming out of our trance, really we’re coming out of our nightmare. I think that people are thrilled tonight. I imagine that thrill is probably not quite so tingly on your leg anymore.”

Quite naturally, bat-shit-crazy Bachmann has it back-ass backwards.
US peoples have truly been hypnotized by the millions upon millions of dollars flung indiscriminately at TV screens across the country, producing one of the most bizarre and depressing midterm elections in all of our jaded, neurotic history.
And the most expensive: From all kinds of depraved and craven sources, this election will most-likely to exceed $4 billion spent on influencing complete sheep-like, dumb-shit Americans to vote the way the dollar sign points, disregarding anything like reality.
After the dust settles, those same US voters won’t/can’t comprehend why.

There’s a true and real nightmare coming and whatever prior integrity the US had is now all gone.
And the real horror is that peoples in power don’t give a shit.
President Obama turned out to be a sham, the Democrats are spineless, wimp assholes who allowed the uneducated, nefarious GOP to wallow in the mud of pretentious US history, baffling US peoples into thinking bad was good, right was wrong.

Mike Whitney, an astute observer of the financial scene, spelled it out correctly with a post yesterday at counterpunch.org.
What you get is worse than what you had.

The argument could be made that the corporate Dems who fill out the current administration are more competent than the bunglers on the Bush team.
But while it’s true that Clinton, Holbrooke and Gates are more discreet and resourceful than Wolfowitz, Cheney and Rumsfeld, that’s not what people voted for.
They wanted change, and they didn’t get it.
What they got was a more skillful imperial managerial staff.
Nothing more.
So now Democratic senators, congressmen and governors face the prospect of a GOP surge, followed by two years of political gridlock during which unemployment will rise to 11 per cent, extreme poverty will soar to levels not seen since the 19th century, more than one state government will declare bankruptcy, and Republican rejection of a second round of fiscal stimulus will thrust the economy back into recession.
At the same time, the erosion of civil liberties, the bailouts, the covert foreign interventions, the fear-mongering, the torture, and the wars will continue apace.
Today’s balloting is a referendum on the Obama presidency.
Let the landslide begin.

And start off with a phony boner.
