In the wake of the health care dust-up last week, the bat-shit crazy side of US politics won’t let it rest, and in doing so, truly revealed just how nasty and mean-spirited their hearts.
This weekend’s nastiest diarrhea-of-the-mouth, and the cruelest, came from one of the biggest assholes in DC, Mitch McConnell — on Fox News yesterday when asked by Chris Wallace about the GOP non-plan for the 30 million people who are uninsured, Misery-faced Mitch responded: That is not the issue. The question is, how can you go step by step to improve the American health care system. … We’re not going to turn the American health care system into a Western European system.
Even if the morgues get backed up — US peoples are ‘not the issue.’

Of course, one must remember McConnell’s truthful bullshit a couple of years ago: The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.
The asshole is at least consistent.
Health care, climate change, all kinds of shit is “not the issue,” just getting that guy out of the White House.
And Mitt Romney kept up the refrain.
From the Chicago Tribune:
Romney, at a fundraiser in New York, said the court’s decision calls for “greater urgency, I believe, in the election” and that in order to replace Obama’s healthcare law “you’ve got to replace President Obama.”
His supporters have responded, pouring nearly $5 million in campaign donations in little more than 24 hours since the ruling was unveiled.
Obama’s campaign insisted Obama had raised more but did not disclose a number.
…
Romney has offered few specifics on how he would replace the Obama reforms, although he said he would work to retain popular provisions such as blocking insurance companies from forbidding coverage of patients with pre-existing medical conditions.
The fair-haired boy of GOP financial matters, Paul Ryan, even enlisted the idea Republicans will govern through a higher power and US peoples will just have to wait.
Via Crooks and Liars:
“We’re going to repeal the entire law and then we’re going to advance patient-centered reforms that address these kinds of issues,” the Wisconsin Republican said.
“I think this at the end of the day is a big philosophy difference,” he continued.
“What Ms. Kennedy and others were saying is that this is a new government-granted right.
We disagree with the notion that our rights come from government, that the government can now grant us and define our rights.
Those are ours, they come from nature and God, according to the Declaration of Independence — a huge difference in philosophy.”
That so-called philosophy, however, is called politics.
Paul-boy’s little spiel was addressing the sentiments of Victoria Kennedy, Ted Kennedy’s widow: “This health care reform was the cause of my husband’s life,” she explained. “He believed that it was a moral issue, that it defined the character of who we were as a society, who we were as a country, and that decent quality, affordable health care should be fundamental right and not a privilege.”
And that’s why the USÂ is listed at number 37 in the world for health care — Columbia ranks better than us, even Greece!
And keep in mind the wise words of the late George Carlin:
Forget the politicians.
They are irrelevant.
The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice.
You don’t.
You have no choice!
You have OWNERS!
They OWN YOU.
They own everything.
They own all the important land.
They own and control the corporations.
They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear.
They got you by the balls.
They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want.
Well, we know what they want.
They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want:
They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking.
They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking.
They’re not interested in that.
That doesn’t help them.
That’s against their interests.
Thats right.
They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago.
They don’t want that!
Good start to the week — Ha!
