Callous and Cold-Hearted — Self-Centered Assholes

The current US political scene sucks through an extremely-thin straw,  making it hard to swallow a possible federal government shut-down this Friday (tomorrow!).
In my humble estimation, there’s never been a more nasty, chaotic mess than DC right now, and the real losers are the ordinary, rank-and-file US peoples who will have to pay the price for the political bullshit spattered across the national landscape.
And the so-called ‘Tea Party?’
That whole political sub-species is nothing, and I do mean nothing, more than ignorant assholes — the whole freakin’ bunch don’t give a fat-rat’s ass about US peoples, their Constitution or if US children have enough food.
Matt Taibbi, in a lengthy Rolling Stone piece last fall, nailed the Tea Baggers:

Vast forests have already been sacrificed to the public debate about the Tea Party: what it is, what it means, where it’s going.
But after lengthy study of the phenomenon, I’ve concluded that the whole miserable narrative boils down to one stark fact: They’re full of shit.
All of them.
At the voter level, the Tea Party is a movement that purports to be furious about government spending — only the reality is that the vast majority of its members are former Bush supporters who yawned through two terms of record deficits and spent the past two electoral cycles frothing not about spending but about John Kerry’s medals and Barack Obama’s Sixties associations.
The average Tea Partier is sincerely against government spending — with the exception of the money spent on them.

If you haven’t read Taibbi’s entire article on this crazed bunch, you should — but be forewarned, you’ll be greatly pissed while becoming sick to your bowels.
US peoples are tired of their bullshit, however.
According to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll: Just 29 percent of Americans have a positive view of the conservative movement, versus 44 percent who view it negatively — 30 percent with very negative views, according to the poll.
Maybe, just maybe, it’s because Tea Baggers are a very negative crowd — and very-greatly schizophrenic.

They just really don’t understand the budget process, and who will be hurt by the horrifying GOP/Tea Party budget proposals.
And to fully illustrate this Tea Bagger intellect was a DC rally by this bunch held yesterday (Wednesday) in which attendees were chanting, “Shut’er down! Shut ‘er down!” (some carrying signs proclaiming the same message), while Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), the biggest nit-twit this side of Sarah Palin, crowed Tea Baggers don’t want to ‘shut’er down.’
I ask you, has there ever been a more unaware peoples anywhere?
Watch a video of the rally at Talking Points Memo.

House Speaker John Boehner, ‘The Boner’ to his friends, said he’s the fringe group’s love child and whipping boy, claiming “there’s no daylight” between himself and the Tea Party: “What they want is they want us to cut spending. They want us to deal with this crushing debt that’s going to crush the future for our kids and grandkids. There’s no daylight there.”
Hypocrisy on a grand scale since in reality there’s also no daylight between The Boner’s ears, either.

EJ Dionne at the Washington Post sums up the all the shit, especially GOP/Tea Party financial goober Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget proposal.
A crock-a-shit:

Ryan’s truly outrageous proposal, built on heaping sacrifice onto the poor, slashing scholarship aid to college students and bestowing benefits on the rich, ought to force middle-of-the-roaders to take sides.
No one who is even remotely moderate can possibly support what Ryan has in mind.
And please, let’s dispense with the idea that Ryan is courageous in offering his design.
There is nothing courageous about asking for give-backs from the least advantaged and least powerful in our society.
It takes no guts to demand a lot from groups that have little to give and tend to vote against your party anyway.
And there is nothing daring about a conservative Republican delivering yet more benefits to the wealthiest people in our society, the sort who privately finance the big ad campaigns to elect conservatives to Congress.
Ryan gives the game away by including the repeal of financial reform in his “budget” plan.
What does this have to do with fiscal balance?
Welcome to the Wall Street Protection Act of 2011.

Hey!
Is that a turd floating in my tea, or is the whole kettle full of shit?.
