Faded-yellow sunshine — a surprise — this late-afternoon Tuesday on California’s north coast, as we were expecting some rain, though, there was a drizzle much earlier, the skies have been fairly dry. Big storm, however, expected starting tomorrow — check out the NWS dramatic forecast: ‘Gale force southerly winds & large westerly swell will impact the coastal water.’

In weathering the age of the T-Rump, journalism has had to fathom  a brand-new territory — a land where outright-continuous lying a strange ‘new normal’  — reality and facts relative, just maybe lying an ‘alternative’ viewpoint. Reporters covering any portion of the T-Rump’s administration must most-likely have to contend every day on whether if somebody-whoever is lying, or whatever some whatever-information is actually misinformation, or an outright lie, so forth, so on….
And calling the real — racism is racism

HuffPost this afternoon:

After the surfacing of an email sent to NBC News’ staffers from the network’s standards department telling them not to directly refer to Rep. Steve King’s (R-Iowa) recent comments about white supremacy as “racist,” journalists have come out on social media to lambast the network for doing so.
“Definition of racist: A person who … believes that a particular race is superior to another.
King wondered why White Supremacy — the belief that white people are superior to the black race — is offensive.
That is the DEFINITION of racism,” tweeted political reporter Emily C. Singer.
On the heels of the backlash, NBC revised its guidance on King.

King has long been known for being a white supremacist and making racist comments.
However, the ninth-term congressman has only recently been under the microscope in Congress after he did an interview with The New York Times, published on Jan. 10, where he said: “White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?”
Since then, many of his fellow Republicans have come out to denounce him, including Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wy.), the third-ranking House Republican, who said on Tuesday that King should step down.
Republican leaders have stripped him of his committee assignments for the current Congress.
Additionally, Democrats are offering measures to censure King.

Listed in the story were a few other tweet replies to NBC’s now-redacted missive, but this the best, straight-forward one I saw: — from Kaitlyn Jakola, assistant managing editor at BusinessInsider: ‘Pro-tip for journalists: Don’t do this! Don’t weasel out of simply, directly and accurately describing racism as racism. If you do, you’re part of the problem.’
Fairly good Journalism 101 for the nowadays.

And just a reminder of the direction media eyeballs are focused (at Time a couple of days ago):

According to one study by liberal media watchdog Media Matters, Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s profane vow to impeach the President received five times more coverage on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC than Rep. Steve King’s controversial remarks about white supremacy.
In the day after Rep. Tlaib said to supporters that “we’re gonna go in and impeach the motherf—-,” referring to President Trump, the three cable news networks devoted over two and a half hours to the topic.
In a similar period following the publication of Rep. Steve King’s comments questioning how the phrase ‘white supremacist’ could be offensive, those networks spent just under 30 minutes on the subject.

One can easily see how bent the windowpane. And one can motherfucking-also ‘not see’ why serious motherfucking news operations won’t spell out ‘motherfucker’ all the motherfucking time — even Time!
What the motherfucking shit is “motherf—-” and what the motherfucking does it mean anyway?
We all know it’s ‘motherfucker,’ you bunch of Both Sides Do It, dumb-ass motherfuckers.

Speaking of Samuel L Jackson and his most-MoFo tweet last week supporting Tlaib: ‘I just wanna Wholeheartedly endorse your use of & clarity of purpose when declaring your Motherfucking goal last week.Calling that Muthafukkah a Motherfucker is not an issue, calling that Muthaffuqah President Is!!
Last night on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, Jackson was still in MoFo form

Onward…
