Sitting here in California’s Central Valley awaiting the trickling-down results of the Georgia run-off election for possible control of the US Senate — Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff are facing off against Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.
A contest tied strongly to the T-Rump.

The first heavily Dem rural county, Macon Co., is fully reporting:

Ossoff: +25.0
Warnock: +25.6

Biden (Nov.): +21.3

And turnout is at 91.8% of November levels. Possibly the single best piece of data for the Dems yet.

Damage done by the T-Rump even since the November election has been so outstanding the consequences will be felt for a goodly while, well beyond this particular race for control of the Senate. Joe Biden and his administration will face a Republican party completely fucked — the T-Rump’s lying-conniving campaign to shit on the presidential vote counting is apparently so deep-embeded in the GOP it’s truly frightening.
According to the Guardian‘s live blog this afternoon, an AP VoteCast survey indicates Georgia Republicans have swallowed T-Rump’s dog-shit hook, line and sinker, ‘believing‘ Biden isn’t the president-elect:

The poll of voters measured how deeply President Donald Trump’s false claims of fraud and misconduct have resonated with Republicans in the state.

Despite the courts, state officials and the Justice Department finding no evidence of widespread voter fraud, roughly 9 in 10 of the Republicans’ backers said they lacked confidence that votes in November’s presidential contest were accurately counted.
Half say they have no confidence at all in the vote count.
That’s roughly five times as many voters in November who said they had no confidence that votes would be counted accurately.

AP VoteCast surveyed more than 3,600 voters in the runoff elections that will determine which party will control the U.S. Senate.
The poll points to a partisan divide that has only worsened since November and suggests Biden may find it difficult to stitch the nation back together as it battles a resurgent pandemic and weakened economy.

While about 8 in 10 Republican voters approve of how Trump has handled the results of the election, Democratic voters almost universally disapprove.
Most Democrats are very confident that votes were counted accurately.

Nine of 10 Republicans! Think about that. Despite no evidence of voter fraud, recounts galore since November (three in Georgia) with results verifying the numbers and nearly 60 courtcases shot down by judges appointed by both Democrat and Republican, GOPers still ‘believe‘ T-Rump over reality.
