As we ponder this early-evening Sunday here in California’s Central Valley, we understand a large percentage of America is dwelling within a bubble of near-insanity, or maybe carrying a brick-or-two shy a full load.
Either way, this country is half-and-half nuts.
And the entire Republican Party is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs — take today’s ramblings of one Ron Johnson:
“What’s this impeachment all about? We now know that 45 Republican Senators believe it’s unconstitutional. Is this another diversion operation? Is this meant to deflect potentially away from what the Speaker knew and when she knew it? I don’t know, but I’m suspicious.”
Wrapped cocoon-like in cowardly deception:

Obvious lunacy — yet a goodly portion of this country are living/breathing a lie, a fantasy made of air. Words only, spoken out loud, written down by others, read by many others, but only words. Absolutely-nothing tangible at all, just words. And to top that shit: Lying words formed into salad-mix fiction, spun as if gospel.
The Trump MO is spin. While in office, he spun shit on the “two-week” lie cycle — from health care to taxes to infrastructure to fighting ISIS, absolutely-nothing at all, but whatever it not-is will be announced in about two/three weeks, “maybe sooner.”
And nothing, nothing came forth for 48 months — in 2017 T-Rump passed a big tax-cut bill, but it was actually worse than nothing (NPR in December 2019): ‘Two years ago Friday, Republicans in Congress passed a sweeping tax cut. It was supposed to be a gift-wrapped present to taxpayers and the economy. But in hindsight, it looks more like a costly lump of coal.‘
Straight lying, half-truths, pure bullshit, ignorant expert summaries on a shitload of shit, all eaten up by a big minority of Americans, though, actual reality is perceived by only a small majority. Why the fuck aren’t more people professing/understanding facts and data?
An example of this comes from a new ABC News/Ipsos poll released today, which shows more Americans want T-Rump convicted and believe Joe Biden is doing a good job, but the numbers suck in relation to the reality of events — main points:
Two thirds of Americans approve of the way Joe Biden is handling the response to the coronavirus.
Thinking about a new coronavirus aid package, 49-percent of Americans think President Biden should work to pass the $1.9 trillion coronavirus aid package with just the support of the Democrats in Congress.
Two in five think President Biden should work to pass a smaller coronavirus aid package with the support of some Republicans in Congress.Americans are split when asked if there are more radical extremists in the Democratic or Republican party, with a slight plurality (42-percent) saying there are more in the Republican party.
A third (32-percent) feel that extremists are found equally in both parties.A slight majority (56-percent) of Americans support the Senate convicting Donald Trump and barring him from office in the future.
However, this falls strongly along party lines with over 9 in 10 Democrats supporting and over 8 in 10 Republicans opposing.
Some change in the T-Rump conviction question from before the first impeachment trial a year ago: ‘In an ABC News/Washington Post poll published in late January 2020, when the first trial was ongoing but before senators had voted, 47-percent of Americans said the Senate should vote to remove Trump from office and 49-percent said he should not be removed.‘
Not really much even considering all the horrific shit from the T-Rump during the year.
Numbers from an Ispos poll three weeks ago (a week after the insurrection/riot) are the same for convicting T-Rump as today, which is not good. The T-Rump remains a massive divisive asshole despite him being out of power — liars and grifters keep a strong grip.
As stated above, the Republican party is way-nuts, and although they’ve been slouching toward insanity for years and years, nowadays takes the cake without any icing.
A goodly chunk of Americans are now flauntingly-close to US Air Force Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper’s persona: ‘He sincerely sees himself as a hero to America, to the point where he’s willing to shoot himself so wouldn’t “get tortured into revealing the recall code.”‘
Off Ripper’s thesis of Russians impurifying precious bodily fluids: ‘It is a curious anomaly that anti-fluoridationism became a right-wing cause.‘
Think ‘pizzagate’ or ‘false flag’ events with school shootings:
