Up until just about an hour ago, I was feeling good — the weekend with the sun shining and the air up here on California’s northern coastline warm and fuzzy.
Until Greg Mitchell at The Nation reminded me that yesterday was the 11th anniversary of George Jr.’s horrifying stunt of “Mission Accomplished” jet landing on the festering flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln — whoa, the memory-misery came back in a flood of ugly recollection.
And most of all, why is George Jr., who an astute social sage could easily call a “whitebread, chickenshit motherfucker,” is treated as if Iraq was a picnic of sweet delights.
And why-why-why is the boy not in jail?

Mitchell ties the nightmare-remembrance with a bike ride George Jr. held yesterday for 16 US war veterans at his Crawford, Tex., ranch — despite it all, a ride the ex-prez called a “joyous occasion” and a “festival.”
What a clueless, self-centered asshole!
In a right-on perspective, Mitchell supplies a comment from another veteran, which boils down the reality of the little finger-painting shit:
Just reading the story over at CNN about Bush’s bike ride at his Crawford ranch with sixteen wounded veterans from the George Bush wars.
And as I read the story I saw this quote by Bush: “This is a festival, and it is a moment for others to see people who have been severely wounded say ‘I’m overcoming the consequence of my decision to volunteer.’”
I’m overcoming the consequence of my decision to volunteer??
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
Somehow, that strikes me as one of the most clueless, heartless and ignorant statements this man has ever uttered.
He simply cannot envision that these people have suffered and died because of him.
In his mind, what happened to them was simply the result of THEIR decision to volunteer.
Not the fact that he sent them in there knowing it was all based on a lie.
This has to be one of the most narcissistic and unaware human beings on the face of the planet.
He simply has a way of creating revulsion and disgust every time he opens his mouth.
Truth to dumb-ass stupidity.
And another memory — the findings of the US Senate Intelligence Committee in June 2008: “There is no question we all relied on flawed intelligence. But, there is a fundamental difference between relying on incorrect intelligence and deliberately painting a picture to the American people that you know is not fully accurate.”
And to George Jr., using the sage’s perfect grammatical image to conclude: “Fuck you!”
