Another day in the seemingly endless-summer-days-during-the-fall-season syndrome this late-afternoon Monday in California’s Central Valley, as so it’s been the last near-couple-of-weeks — clear-blue skies, glaring, bright sunshine coupled with warmish-close-to-heavy-hot temperatures (in the low 90s as I work the laptop keyboard), though, it being autumn and all, this environmental scenario feels just a bit tempered by a faint-comfortable cool steak to the air. An observation I can so attest to since was just out in the backyard hitting the pipe. A view, one must keep in mind, comes from an old guy who doesn’t get out much.
That ‘cool streak‘ in the air, mentioned above, we’ll most likely lose tomorrow as a five-day run of triple-digit temps is forecast to start and last the rest of the week, through Saturday. Weather is local, and where I’m located not bad.
However, outside back East is a way-other story — the destruction from Hurricane Helene is beyond heartbreakingly horrible. Nutshell update per CNN: ‘At least 128 people have died across six states and officials fear the death toll can rise. Many more remain missing, perhaps unable to leave their location or unable to contact family where communications infrastructure is in shreds.’
As the last couple of days, images are the shits. Wreckage is so freaking widespread, thousands of people are unaccounted for — maybe due to a shitload of towns/communities/neighborhoods where people can’t get in or out — the havoc is remarkable in that it’s so extensive — disaster humungous!
Even the horror makes the immoral, cruel T-Rump play: Earlier this morning the Orange Turd blubbered about “reports” the Biden administration was slow to respond to Helene aid, and despite bullshit about ‘unity‘ in a time of crisis: ‘Trump, writing on his social media platform Monday, also claimed without evidence that the federal government and North Carolina’s Democratic governor were “going out of their way to not help people in Republican areas.” Asheville, which was devastated by the storm, is solidly Democratic, as is much of Buncombe County, which surrounds it.‘
Biden, and others, called T-Rump on his full-of-bullshit lying:
Reporter: Trump has accused you of ignoring—
Biden: He's lying and the governor told him he was lying. I've spoken to the governor.. I don't know why he does this and the reason I get so angry about it, I don't care about what he says about me, but I care what he communicates to… pic.twitter.com/zZuZH3nXKe

Further via HuffPost:
A visibly frustrated President Joe Biden rebuffed Donald Trump’s “irresponsible” claims that he hasn’t spoken with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) about the devastation from Hurricane Helene.
“He is lying. Let me get this straight: He’s lying, and the governor told him he’s lying,” Biden said from the Oval Office.
His remarks come hours after Trump lobbed the easily disproved attack, saying of Kemp: “He’s been calling the president. He hasn’t been able to get him.”
Kemp has also contradicted Trump’s claim, saying he and Biden had spoken directly and that the president told him to call the White House for whatever he needed.
“I don’t know why he does this,” Biden added. “And the reason I get so angry about this ? I don’t care what he says about me, I care what he communicates to the people that are in need. He implies that we’re not doing everything possible. … It’s simply not true, and it’s irresponsible.”
No shit.
Lying for the sake of not telling the truth, and going even deeper, having no concept of what ‘truth‘ actually means — T-Rump may be one of the worst human beings who’s ever lived, bar none
Chaos out of everything, or not, yet here we are once again…
