Republicans Voting For Joe Biden: ‘But, Baby, You Need To Do It’

March 16, 2024

Journalism as practiced by the MSM once again:

In the wake of Mike Pence’s mock-ass verbiage yesterday that he “cannot in good conscience” endorse the T-Rump for president without actually revealing who’d get his vote: ‘Pence did not reveal who he’ll vote for in the 2024 general election, saying that he’ll keep “my vote to myself.” He, however, said he will “never vote” for President Joe Biden. Pence also suggested that he would not back a third-party candidate.

WTF! Who else is left, you little, pasty-white bitch? The absolute best reply to that shit and a Joe-Biden vote came from former RNC Chair Michael Steele, framing the scenario in national-emergency mode (via Mediaite this afternoon):

And I get it. I get it with some Republicans who say, oh, “I just can’t vote for a Democrat.” But this is not — you’re voting for your country. You’re not voting for a Democrat, in this case.

I have disagreements with Joe Biden on a number of policies, y’all know. And that’s okay. But =that’s a good policy. That’s good and healthy for our democracy to have those disagreements.

When we’re sitting here having conversations about a president with 91 federal counts against him. And people are scratching her head and wondering, oh, I don’t know, you know, should I support him? Or says as Symone just noted he wants to be a dictator. And you, you go ‘Well, I’m still worried about the 81 year old.’

Somehow we’ve got to shake ourselves out of that fog and understand what this is about. And I do get the idea, that it’s hard for some Republicans to go across the street. But, baby, you need to do it.

Yeah, baby, more than you right now can imagine.

The only approach to shit like this is a blue tsunami at the ballot box in November:

In an aside to the point (The Daily Beast this evening):

Furthermore, in a somewhat ironic twist, the ex-president’s foreboding remarks about the country’s future sans Trump come just days after the GOP officials described the MAGA takeover of the Republican National Committee in similarly stark terms. With the RNC expected to fire roughly 60 staffers after the former president’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump was installed as co-chair, sources told The Guardian that the move represented an “absolute bloodbath.”

Whoa!

No better way to close out this pressure-is-on shit than with Annie Lennox and David Bowie:

One correct vote multiplies/attracts one hundredfold, or not, yet once again here we are…

(Illustration out front is of a New York state high-school student exhibit: ‘The piece was displayed during student-driven art show at Shenendehowa High School. It consisted of at least 12 identical black-and-white pictures of Donald Trump. There was also a sign above the pictures that read, “Draw on Me.” Using markers from the art classroom, Isome students opted to scribble critical messages and profanities on the pictures‘ — and found here.)
