Fly-By Krazy

March 5, 2014

248918_2204521_lzOvercast, drizzly and warm this mid-week Wednesday, and here on California’s north coast we feeling like spring.
Yesterday was pure sunshine and heat — March came in as a soft, sweet putty-cat.

And today, earth will get another space visitor as Asteroid 2014 DX110 will make a real-close fly-by — about 216,000 miles away — which is closer than you think. And the second space rock of interest to humanity — yesterday, Asteroid 2014 DU110 buzzed earth at about 20 million kilometres distance.
Considered low risk, DX110 supposedly has a one-in-10-million chance of impacting Earth.

NASA’s Lindley Johnson: “The close approach of 2014 DX110 is really a non-event in our eyes.”

These brainiacs hopefully know what they’re doing/saying — DX110 was just discovered last Friday.
The fly-by is scheduled for about 4 this afternoon. And if I can remember to watch, Slooh will show the event live.

Meanwhile, the planet DX110 is quickly passing has enormous problems, from the political bullshit of the Ukraine, Syria, well, all of the Middle East, all of China (Peking smog like “nuclear winter”), and climate change has rendered another horrific problem: Viruses.

And here for me — time for work.
What me worry?
