Fear and Deplorables

April 28, 2019

Plenty of sunshine and near-clear skies this Sunday afternoon here on California’s north coast — beach run once again about mid-day (Little River Beach) was near-about perfect. Bright and warm…

Illustration to the left, Pablo Picasso’s ‘Harlequin Head’ (found here), and one of my long-time favorite story art, seems to favor President Obama, does it not?

Per Rolling Stone this afternoon:

In a not-so-subtle jab at President Trump, former president Barack Obama told an audience gathered at the The National Museum of African American History and Culture to celebrate the centennial of Nelson Mandela’s birth on Saturday why those in power might spread lies:
“Leaders who feed fear typically are also ones who avoid facts,” Obama said.

Obama had his faults, with his biggest fuck-ups right at the beginning of his tenure — first allowing GW Bush and his crowd to skate off their horrid responsibility for the Iraqi war — he did American history a great injustice, and then he let Wall Street off the hook for the biggest financial meltdown since the Great Depression.
If those assholes had been fully prosecuted then maybe we wouldn’t have such an arrogant, asshole Republican party now, and maybe no T-Rump.
Although the GOP has been declining in moral/ethical value for decades — the T-Rump is just a result/by-product of a shit bunch of deplorables —  Hillary Clinton’s little quote seems nearly quaint now huh?.

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?”
“The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.
“And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

Meanwhile in the nowadays, the T-Rump is waxing worse and worse. Last night at a rally in Wisconsin and the deplorable president:

During his unhinged monologue, the president said many ridiculous things that will sap your will to continue living in this nightmare dystopia, including: accusing mothers and doctors of executing newborns, calling the media “sick” and ex-FBI officials “scum,” claiming credit for the “sick” idea of sending undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities, and doing an impression of the Saudi king’s accent.
Oh, and, of course, there were “Lock her up!” chants.

Before the rally, Trump promised it would be “very positive,” unlike the White House Correspondents Dinner.
Glad to see he fulfilled that promise.
Now I’m going to go drown myself in the ocean.

Impeach the motherfucker..!
